I've been a happy user of the UTM Home Edition since circa 2013. It has been bullet-proof and has given me the confidence to recommend the hardware to several organizations now. The problem I'm running into is the 50 IP limit in the free home edition. I'm in a modern household... I've got 6 XBoxes, a desktop, 2 laptops, a NAS, three access points, a Wifi Controller, Smart Home Hub, WiFi smart switches, Alexa devices, and the list goes on. Without any extra devices or guests I'm consuming 45 IPs and getting warnings daily from the firewall. If we have friends over and they connect to my guest WiFi, I'm running up against the 50 IP limit which is blocking Internet access to devices. I haven't even added the 7 security cameras to the house yet that I had planned to install this summer!
What are my options? 50 IPs is too small for a household in 2019 but I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars a year on a FullGuard subscription for my house. I really don't want to rip Sophos out and put in something else but I'm not going to have a choice unless there is another option.
Any suggestions?
