Sophos Mobile Security deleting too many log entries

Installed on Motorola Moto G4 (Android version 7.0)

The app has always deleted some of the oldest log entries every so often. But, within the last week, it has gotten overzealous about it. It is deleting them to the point where only entries from the last 5 hours remain. This means that sometimes a new entry is both created and then deleted while I'm sleeping. So, I never even have a chance to see it.

I don't find anything in the settings to control the deleting of old log entries.

What can be done to correct this?

Hi Ron Feole

Can you please check if enough free space is available on your device? How much storage is Sophos Mobile Security consuming?

Try reinstalling the application and test it out.

Thank you for replying.

My phone has 7.9GB of free space. Currently, Sophos Mobile Security is consuming 119MB (App: 70.04MB, Data: 49.37MB, and Cache: 160kB).

There is also another really unusual aspect regarding what it's been doing just recently. The last few nights, it's been deleting 1 or 2 log entries at a time, 5 or 6 times a night.

I haven't tried reinstalling the app yet. I will do that if there are no other options.

I believe space is not an issue here. Try reinstalling the app see if that helps.

Hi Yashraj,

2 days ago, I uninstalled, reinstalled, and reconfigured Sophos Mobile Security. So far, it's working fine. It hasn't deleted any log entries yet.

Of course it previously worked fine for over 10 months, until this problem showed up. Hopefully I won't have any more problems. I've been very happy with Sophos Mobile Security otherwise.
