I wonders if Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux can open or scan archive file type RAR version 5.0 or not?

Hello Thanadon Somdee,

interesting question. I assume you mean scan inside, don't you? Do you ask specifically about 5.0 because you have the impression it doesn't.
Don't have my Linux with me right now, a test on Windows (scanning engines should be the same) suggests it doesn't. Perhaps DouglasLeeder can answer engine questions too.

Since I try to scan file virus.pdf.r23 but it is not detected but then I unrar the file and scan again it detected as Mal/MSIL-TC
