Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux with archive RAR 5.0 file

I wonders if Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux can open or scan archive file type RAR version 5.0 or not?

    interesting question. I assume you mean scan inside, don't you? Do you ask specifically about 5.0 because you have the impression it doesn't.
    Don't have my Linux with me right now, a test on Windows (scanning engines should be the same) suggests it doesn't. Perhaps   can answer engine questions too.
