SGFileEncWizard.exe - Command Line Options

Hello,

Could you tell me where I can find the command line options for SGFileEncWizard.exe? We have the follow statement in a batch file and we need to make a modification.

CALL "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\SafeGuard Enterprise\Client\SGFileEncWizard.exe" \\FRM-DC01\Company\Processes\Batch Files\LoadDB\ /v0 /x

Thanks,

John

  • Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for.

  • Haridoss,

What would the syntax be for encrypting files, say PDFs in C:\somfolder\someexportedfiles\, on a local machine? I cannot seem to get it to work. When I xcopy the files to the network share, about half the time Sophos throws an error and crashes. I even put a thirty second pause in my batch file to give the network share time to recognize the five files that in total are only 2M. Additionally, through past experience with network encryption, when we generate a lot of files we will lose about a 1/3 of them during the encryption process.

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hi Haridoss,

We have migrated Sophos server to a new box and OS, and it is working fine. For the files that are on the old server, I was thinking we should decrypt them, moving them, then re-encrypt. Does this sound correct? If so, how do I decrypt the files in mass? We have around 200K files that would need this.

    Thank you,

    John
