SafeGuard on HP zBook 17 G2

We'd like to install SafeGuard Device Encryption Client (version 7.00.0.105) on a HP zBook 17 G2.

After the first boot we get the following error message while loading POA:

Sophos SafeGuard is starting.

Please wait ...

Invalid slice

No /boot/loader

I already tried with the newest bios version. And also with shift + F6.

The notebook comes with an internal PCIe 256GB SSD, could that be the problem?

Something else I can try?

  • Yes, the SATA mode was set to AHCI. There isn't any other option I can choose from.

The primary disc is connected to PCIe M.2, I am not sure if the SATA mode has any relevance in this case.

I have a second disc connected to SATA (for data only, OS is on primary).
