Most efficient way to decrypt contents of external hard drive using SGPortable

A vendor of ours sent us a large number of files encrypted on an external hard drive and I am able to successfully access them using the SGPortable executable.  I am also able to use the Copy To functionality to create an unencrypted copy of the files in another location.  However, as there appears to be hundreds of thousands of files included, it appears that this process will take days/weeks/months to complete.  The copy is relatively quick and once the decryption step initiates there is no additional external hard drive activity.  I have temporarily disabled real-time antivirus protection but I'm wondering if there are any other ways to expedite the process.  I apologize if this same question is answered in another forum item.  I did a brief search and did not locate anything quite the same.

  • Hi Rob,

You will not be able to expedite the decryption process via SGPortable. The alternative way is to bring the files to one place where you have SGN client and add the key they're encrypted with, select all> right click> decrypt. Let me know if this helps resolve your query.
