IF USER FORGOT PASSWORD

Hi Tom,

At what point is the password an issue?  Are you stuck at the POA or are you able to get into Windows?

What version of Safeguard are you running?  What version Windows is this running on?

I am using safeguard 8.0.2 running on Windows 7.

So I am stuck at the PoA. So can i found those password in server ?

If the machine is just using local accounts can you log onto the machine as another user? From here you could then add the "new"/unknown user to Sophos and change the password for the locked out user?

You can not find the password on the server but you can perform a Challenge Response to get past the POA and back into Windows.

During C&R there's a option to display last known PBA password of the User after finishing C&R, too. (At least with AD-Integration).

May that's available for workgroup/standalone users, too.
