Sophos Safeguard Enterprise - System Tray Icon not showing

Hi,

I´ve a client, which is not showing the Tray Icon.

The Version 8.00.0.251 is installed and the services are running.

I´ve also tried to start the sync with SGMCmdIntn -s but its also not syncing anything.

Is it possible to start the tray icon with a command?

    Have you applied the configuration you created on the server to the client?

     

    Once you've applied the configuration (or you already had) could you please check (on the local client)

     

    c:\programdata\Ttimaco\SafeGuard Enterprise\LocalCache\transout\config\init.xml (note programdata is a hidden folder)

     

    The init.xml should contain (as well as other code) the address(es) of your own Sophos SG server. It's formatted with extra spaces but you should be able to scroll across and read/understand the address. Open it in Notepad but don't edit or modify it at all.

     

    The address of your server should appear after the <service> tag.

     

    If the address is wrong - reapply your config file.

    Hi,

     

    i´ve checked the ini.xml and the serveraddress is correct.

    May it help, when I uninstall and reintstall the config?

    I don't believe so, but it never hurts to rule things out.

     

    There's no firewall present on either system is there preventing communication?
