Problems with Safeguard 8.00.0.251

I was running great with Safeguard 7.0.  I have all Windows 7 Enterprise machines at my company and I used PDQ deploy to install the three items needed for Safeguard.  (pre install, regular install and then the config). 

 

I upgraded my server to the new 8.0 and then I changed my msi packages over to the safeguard 8.0 in pdq deploy.  Ever since doing this it has not worked properly at all.

 

It gets pushed out and installed fine but then when you boot up a computer for the first time (and every time after) it takes forever for the Sophos service to initialize before you can log in.  Then the whole computer just crawls for several minutes and the Sophos Safeguard app will not sync with the server. 

 

I have already talked with support and they told me I should install it locally because networks can cut out (?? lol its 2016 that doesn't happen much)

 

Anyway, I have found that uninstalling everything and then re installing it seems to work.  But why is this needed every time?  It is consistent.  I just want it to work like it did before as this is causing a huge headache.

    if this issue still exist - please open a support case. To be able to analyze this issue we would need to get an SDU log from one of the affected machines.

    As well, I would like to get an Windows Installer log with the extended logging like "msiexec /i <path to the mis source> /L*VX!". Please inform the local support that they need to foward the case Sophos internally to our Global Escalation Support (GES).
