Hello,
I'm trying to gain access to my boot driver, after receiving the error described in the following KB article:
https://community.sophos.com/kb/de-de/112846
I followed the virtual client recovery procedure described in this document:
https://sophserv.sophos.com/repo_kb/108156/file/Recovery_in_SafeGuard_Device_Encryption.pdf
But sadly I launch the RecoveryKeys tool and perform the C/R steps, but nothing happens. No error message, no visible files on the drive.
I tried restoring the MBR from the Backup in the Management Console, reparing the boot sectors.
The only thing I can make happen is: Authenticate at the POA with my user and password, after that I receive the error from the top KB article again.
Is there a different way to do it? (As there is the option "Import from file" instead of "Import from C/R")
Is my data now lost as I don't see anything in the file manager or does it just not generate the required key correctly for a reason unknown to me?
Help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Marco Lorenz
