Adding SGN to devices already encrypted with BitLocker

Apologies if this is a duplicate, I thought I posted this yesterday but I can't see it anywhere on the forum today.

Does the following also apply to v8 of SafeGuard products? community.sophos.com/.../73860

We have a customer who is looking at deploying SafeGuard Enterprise for full disk encryption, where they already have around 25 devices with standalone BitLocker.

I have Windows 10 Anniversary Edition systems with Bitlocker already enable. I have installed the client and configuration package for SGN 8, however the client is not contacting the server and correspondingly not synchronizing.

I additionally don't want the user logon experience to change. They now see two options to logon. The one they had as well as one with the Safeguard logo.

Is there a troubleshooting article you can point me to for the client not connecting?

Hi Robert,

They must logon with the "Safeguard" option, otherwise the user account won't synchronise. You can hide the Windows option - I haven't tried this myself, but https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/114190 ought to help.

Thank you Samir,

I will try that and respond back. I've logged in with my user account via the Safeguard option however it didn't synchronize. I'll need to troubleshoot more.
