Good morning  DSchwartzberg,

                                                          To start off i am very new to Sophos and was given the task of setting up the File Encryption for a designated Network Drive, i was wondering if you can assist me, i have the same problem with connection between the server and the client in the Sophos SG File Encryption 7. The policies i have put into place are correct and have placed the client end on the local admin then logged in through a user from my active directory. but on the client end it still says no connection and also states that the bpolicy has not been updated since the first time I installed it. i am running Server 2008 r2 and client end are windows 7 (32 and 64) also Mac Osx 10.10 Yosemite.   Thanks in advance.

    Hey Afternoon Sandy,

                                            I have currently found some Videos online on Youtube on the v6 of the software. However i have followed it step by step and my issue now is the client end after all 3 packages are installed and then rebooted still does not connect to my server. As mentioned i am using the (SafeGuard Enterprise 6 (SGN) - Part 1 - Preparing the back-end) on YouTube as a following guide but the testing i am doing is on version 7.  Please any assistance it greatly appreciated.

    when throught the process and fixed one issue got this when i ran the invoke test again..just reminder i am running/testing the Enterprise 7 file encryption

    Hmm - It sounds like the server configuration is missing. Have you created a configuration file in the Safeguard Management Center and installed it on the end point?

    yes i did, currently i removed all application and doing it over from scratch but yes i did install the client end package.

    hey SimonUOL,

                                 i when a re did my entire process over and removed it and reinstall it and now i got right back to my original issue again... its "<Dataroot><WebService>OK</WebService><DBAuth>failed</DBAuth><Error>A database exception occurred.</Error></string>"...  i say a thread that was 3years old with this issue in one of the solutions had a hyperlink but i can not access it.
