Encryption only on selected partition

Good morning,

I'm looking for a way to encrypt only the partition I want on the same Hard Drive. Why ?

Because I have a recovery partition on the HDD and I want to be able to use it if the safeguard encryption as failure, this way i can reuse the computer faster without reinstalling all of it even if I know that I will lost the encrypted data on the system partition.

Thanks and I hope someone know the answer.

  • Hi GuillaumeD,

setting up your requirements depends on the SafeGuard version you use.

As an example, in SafeGuard Enterprise 6.x, you would create a new "Device Protection" policy within the Management Center and define the target for encrpytion. For your example, I'd suggest to define the following target: "Local Storage Devices | Mass storage | Drive Letters | *your drive letter*: "

    Hope that helps,

    Chris
