Encryption only on selected partition

setting up your requirements depends on the SafeGuard version you use.

As an example, in SafeGuard Enterprise 6.x, you would create a new "Device Protection" policy within the Management Center and define the target for encrpytion. For your example, I'd suggest to define the following target: "Local Storage Devices | Mass storage | Drive Letters | *your drive letter*: "

But my vesion is SafeGuard Enterprise 5.61.X.X. I guess all the change I have to do are in the console manager on my server ?

I probably have to create the appropriate policy ?

Hi Guillaume,

the integrated encryption v5.61 from the Sophos Enterprise Console can only be configured to either encrypt "Boot volumes" and/or "Non-boot volumes".

If you require a more granular policy definition, you would need to switch to SafeGuard Enterprise.

This is already SafeGuard Entreprise that I use so I don't understand your last sentence.

I use the Entreprise Console to create and apply my policy.

"SafeGuard Enterprise 6.00.1" is a product suite, that brings a the full encryption support for Volume Based and File Based Encryption. It also has a console (known as SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center) that is used to administer the policies and environments. 

"Sophos Enterprise Console 5.2" brings basic encryption functionalities that can be administered via the "Full Disk Encryption" section in the console. The Client that is installed is called Sophos Disk Encryption 5.61.

Only SafeGuard Enterprise 6.x has the possibility to create a more granular policy setup.

based on my experience, you can hide the partition with 3rd party partition wizard

Thanks for your reply but what I need is to keep a partition not encrypted. I know I can hide the partition but it will still be encrypted.
