application based synchronized encryption issue

The first issue people normally encounter is that they've not enabled the function in the client - it isn't always enabled by default.

So pop into control panel/add remove and check that the client has a checkbox next to the function.

Log onto the client.

Start - Appwiz.cpl

Scroll down to Sophos SafeGuard Client 7/8.xxxxxxxx

Select client (not configuration or pre-install)

Select Change. Wait for client to load. 

Once client has loaded - On the Change, Repair and Remove - Select Change.

Make sure Synchronised Encryption is selected - Here you can see mine is not! 

Do remember that it's Location OR Synchronised....not both!
