SafeGuard Enterprise Windows Client Patch 1804 version 8.00.5

Dear Customers,

There have been reports of a BSOD - UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f) on computers running one of the SafeGuard File Encryption modules e.g. File Encryption, Synchronized Encryption, Data Exchange, Cloud Storage. The BSOD occurs after the update to the latest Windows 10 feature release version 1803 (build 17134). 

On affected systems the issue only occurs, when logging on with a domain account, local accounts are unaffected.

The reason for the BSOD is a kernel stack overflow.

1. The hotfix can be applied to SafeGuard Client version 8.00.5.16 only. Information on how to obtain and install this version are available in SafeGuard Enterprise Windows Client Patch 1804 version 8.00.5
