SPX portal on separate email filter.

Good morning,

I have a client who wishes to install two email appliances in clustered mode. The "main" appliance will be scanning all inbound and outbound emails and the "secondary" appliance, sitting in the DMZ, will be used to host the SPX portal.

Has anybody already done this? Any advice out there?

Thanks.

  • The appliance is "dumb" just route your exchange send connector to the outbound appliance and ensure the FQDN:port number you specify is routable from the outside world.

You can check the address from configuration / accounts / user preferences / configure end user services.

then you can confirm the portal address under configuration / policy / encryption / spx encryption tab (click on the portal configuration button)

The FQDN:port should be listed in the URL, make sure that it routable externally so users can pick up their encrypted mail
