This is kind of related to some of the grumbling from the PureMessage for Unix forum:

Is it possible to adjust the forum so that when it e-mails us there are new messages, that there is a bit of that message included?

That way someone could better decide if they want to log in or not.

Just a thought.

    I have never seen a web forum act like a proper mailing list.  Why does it insist on prefixing every message Subject with "SophosTalk community Subscription: 1 Update:"?  It is useless information, and is a detrement to collaboration.

    Don't get me wrong, forums are great as an alternative to contacting support, but forums are not a good alternative to discussion mailing lists.
