I've received an alert about Dial/Stardial-D. Since it is listed as Not cleanable I select the Actions tab which tells me "Please follow the instructions for removing dialers." So far so good - I did and then it says ...:
1. Using Enterprise Console
You can remove dialers over a network using Enterprise Console.
The links takes you to article 12425 (Enterprise Console: removing viruses over a network) which is of rather general nature (one of the first things it tell me is "First, from Enterprise Console, find out what items are present on a computer" - yeah, did that, that's where I came from). Reading on you can easily get lost, you skip Click 'Clean up detected items', and further down you'll find "Disinfect with a Resolve tool, where one exists. Otherwise follow the recovery instructions in the virus analysis". Huh? Did I miss something? Oh yes, "Occasionally you might have to deal with remaining items at the local computer" (article 13282) . Could have told me to look there in the first place ...
Moreover, the mentioned articles are still only talking (and linking to articles) about SAV7 and SEC3.
