Real-time protection shows as "not running"

I've just installed Sophos Home on my MacBook Pro, running the latest macOS. The icon in the toolbar immediately went orange and tells me, that real-time protection isn't running and that subsequently, everything else is disabled. However, when I log on to my dashboard, everything appears to be turned on and so there's nothing for me to change.

 

I've tried restarting my computer as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Sophos Home, all to no avail. Has anyone had the same problem and know of a way to fix it?
