Central Message Relay and AWS Map View is live now

Hi All,

Central Message Relay and AWS Map View is live now

This release will allow customers to:

  • use a command line switch to install endpoints via a Message Relay that cannot directly communicate with Central
  • allow endpoints to communicate to Central via a Message Relay without the need to exposure large IP ranges for all devices in their firewalls
  • manually assign endpoints to Update Cache/Message Relay Servers

Supports: Windows computers and servers, as well as Linux servers. Mac device support is due later in the year

The following external KBAs have been updated for this release:

  •  Sophos Central Update Caches and Message Relays Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – article 122577
  • Sophos Central Endpoint: Installer command line options – article 127045

We are also releasing an AWS release that will allow customers to:

  • see where they have instances deployed across the AWS regions
  • view the health of instances running the Server Protection agent
  • discover instances not running the Server Protection agent
  • discover where they have UTMs deployed
