PureMessage Userspam Digest Email

Hi all,

I have got a query regarding the PureMessage software. Once the user receives an email stating that they have messages in the quarantine inbox to approve, if they approve of a certain that is not a spam and is delivered to the inbox, will it next time classify it as spam and quarantine it or be added to some kind of safe sender list?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Messages that are released from a digest summary are not added to the safe senders list.  This can only be done if the admin has enabled the End User Web Interface.  The recipient of the digest summary can go online and flag specific senders as safe so that next time messages from that user will not be quarantined.

  • Hi Jason,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you guide on how to enable the EUWI. I have installed the PureMessage for Exchange .

  • Oh, we thought this was PureMessage for Unix, which has that functionality available for its EUWI.

PureMessage for Exchange's EUWI only allows endusers to release or remove suspected spam. However, through the administration console, PureMessage administrators can go into the quarantine and select the quarantined message. Upon choosing to Deliver/Forward the message, one of the options is to Add the sender to the allowed list, which will prevent future messages from that sender to skip the spam scan.

Please note that senders in the allowed list doesn't exclude the rest of the policy from being bypassed, including virus scans or any content-based rules.

    Hope that helps.
