How do I block users from uploading to social media sites?

I know there is granular control under web applications once you allow a social media site listed for example 'facebook' but is there a way to do this for all social media / file sharing sites under a category maybe?

If not under web applications, facebook is listed along with others, is it possible to add others to control file uploads?

Thanks in advance.

  • Try under Global Policy, Data Leakage Protection.  Note that this approach only somewhat works (i might call it an inaccurate sledgehammer) as it uses a single category and just blocks all POSTs.  Application Control actually knows the specific URLs that are related to each operation.  You can request additional applications through Support.
