PureMessage: change port from default 8081

I am running PureMessage 3.1.2.0 on a 64bit Windows 2003 server, and want to change the port from the default (8081). I know how to do it in IIS, but am wondering how to do the PM side of it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

  • Hi,

The easiest way to modify the quarantine website port is to backup (or export) the PureMessage configuration to a temporary directory through the PureMessage console (under Configuration and System).

Within that folder will be 4 XML files; open the LocalConfig.xml file in a text editor and look for the QuarDigestWebsiteUrl variable. Modify the number within that element to match what you set in IIS -- be careful to preserve the whitespace and lack of line breaks in the file. Save the file, then go back to the PureMessage console and restore the configuration from that temporary directory. At that point, the change will take effect.

    Hope that helps!
