Suspicious attachment detected [...] Matched multiple extension

I've been using PureMessage 3.1.2 for one week now and the product seems to be working OK for the most part.

I do notice though that a number of legitimate messages are being quarantined with the following comments (one example):

----------------------

Event: Suspicious attachment detected

Location: Minutes-9.17.2012.doc

Replaced with text: no

Matched Multiple Extension name: .17.2012.doc

-------------------

Since our incoming email is already filtered by Postini, I'm not *too* concerned about malware entering our system from that avenue. Regardless, I'm wondering if I can prevent messages with multiple periods from being quarantined (because I believe that is the reason these messages are being flagged - for the parts of the date separated by periods that are seen by PureMessage as multiple extensions.

Thanks in advance.
