Removing Master Sync Server and Replacing it

I have the project of removing and replacing two of my HUB/Transport servers, one of which is the Master Sync Server for PureMessage.

I'm looking for documentation and advice.

I'm currently running version 3.1.2. Is there an update I should apply?

Our end goal is that the two new servers will go behind a Load Balancing solution. What ports will PureMessage require opened?
