Youtube comments

Hi,

I'm evaluating a WS1100 for use in school - is there a way to block the youtube comments (the smoothwall filter has this option).

I can't see an easy way of doing it - youtube is either blocked or allowed?

    Hi ErrorProne,

    Currently there isn't a way to disable comments for just Youtube.  If you like, I can file a feature request with the development team for you.

    For schools, we do support Youtube for Schools which does disable commenting, but it also restricts users to videos that are marked as education.  For more information about this, please visit http://www.youtube.com/schools.   On the appliance, this is configured under Configuration > Global Policy > General Options > Youtube for Schools.
