Sophos Email Appliance Supported Messaging protocols

May i ask if what messaging protocols aside from SMTP that Sophos email appliance supports?

    Hi tedz,

    For message transfer, the appliance only does SMTP/ESMTP.  We also support SMTP over TLS if this is configured.  This is the standard for internet mail gateways.

    We don't transfer messages with any other protocols like IMAP, POP, or LMTP.
