Adobe Creative Cloud - Mac OSx - Constant Proxy Authentication prompts

Hey All

So we have 1 Apple Mac on our Network where all internet traffic runs through the Sophos Web Applicance.

This has been configured for SSO so that Internet access in Safari works without issue ( no login prompts etc). The current issue is with Adobe Creative cloud which is consistantly asking for proxy credentials but even if they are entered correctly it will continure to ask. See Image below.

I have added all the relevant hostnames/addresses as per instructions from Adobe to the Local Site List. See below:

I managed to get it working by deleting the opm.db file located in:

Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder

This worked for a week or 2 but now the same issue has arose again. I have deleted the above file again but no luck.

Any assistance or tips would be appeciated.

Cheers

Steve

  • what deployment mode you in? explicit or transparent?

create a new local sitelist, click add multiple.

    paste:

    aihdownload.adobe.com
    fpdownload.macromedia.com
    adobelogin.com
    activate.adobe.com
    adobe.activate.com
    adobe.io

set the risk class to trusted.

apply, wait 5-7 mins does it work with or without proxy settings?

check this https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/126599 and make sure the 6 requirements are met.. ie the mac can ping fqdn/short etc.. also make sure sso for mac is enabled and that the time is correct on the mac, appliance and ad server.

you can verify if the correct user is logged in if you do a report via the mac's ip, or export the log to a syslog server
