Info about AP10 - continuity of signal

Hello,
currently we have some access points, some of them are set as "repeater" and we have continuity of signal among our office. I plan to move to Astaro AP, I have read some docs about AP10/30 but I have seen no references about repeater mode. What about continuity of signal? If I walk through my office (and I install the correct number of APs,) do you think that the Wi-Fi cards of laptops will correctly move from AP to AP?

Thank you

  • We intended to add 802.11r support in 8.200 (which is a relatively new standard to support even faster handovers, especially useful for voip traffic). However, since there are almost no clients supporting it we dropped 802.11r for now. So, the roaming behavior shouldn't change between 8.100 and 8.200.

Understood, I'll have to research what 802.11r entails.
