UTM 9 Released

Hi everyone.

What a fun beta, so much feedback and we've come a long way from that first release haven't we? UTM 9 is now considered "GA", and we will move on to getting some up2dates out the door and begin work on 9.1. Stay tuned for some news on that.

Just wanted to say thanks very much. I really appreciate all the feedback and we definitely have a better product due to your participation. We'll wrap things up here in the coming days with some announcements and some close-out stuff before archiving these forums.

Hi Angelo

Thanks for the great product so far. As always it was really well spent time working on the beta section of the UTM product. Would there be a beta ranking list this time(or maybe we should wait for the "some announcements and some close-out stuff"?

Thank you guys for letting us participate in an open beta. Its always fun to tinker with a product in development specially if your feedback can have an impact on the final version.
V9 is a great release and overall a better looking and better performing product. I believe all the developers need to take a bow, because they have earned it putting up with all of us[:D]

It is always very nice to get a sneak peak on new features and get a closer look at whats coming

+ it is great to actually help make the product even better / safer [[:)]]

Are there any plans about Lic-Upgrades for Betatesters? I heards something about some Endpoint Security to be added (my Lics both show 0 on the Endpoint side [:(] )

Just for all the testers, we do plan to fix the 2 allocations into 10 (which is desired) along with some other awards I'll announce probably tomorrow.

This is covered in the up2date blog post (http://www.astaro.com/en-uk/blog/up2date/UTM9) with further information available within the release notes document. [:)]

V8-->V9 is being handled similar to V7-->V8. Towards the end of August, a One-Touch up2date will be released that will add an upgrade tab to Management>>Up2date for appliances. Other installs (software and virtual) as well as those with appliances who do not wish to wait should reinstall from the V9 ISO, then apply their config-backup.

Anyone know how to do a HA update? Can I just update the one unit (reinstall from ISO) test it off the network then put it back on and the old v8 one would run the update or would both need a reinstall?
