[9.080][BUG] Constant 100% usage by ipsfb process

How many interfaces are you protecting and are they internal only?
I don't have a problem with this release, performance is good, network connectivity doesn't fail on link failure at this stage, still to be fully tested.

Just tested the performance on link failure and there wasn't a missed beat including failing over to the alternate link. Everything restored to normal quite quickly on link restoration. IPS did not use much CPU at all. This is good.

i'm using about 10 interfaces but there is allmost no traffic at all, IPS is configured to ANY but changing this does not reduce the load.

I have just noticed a spike with this as well, hardly any traffic going through the interface.

The "Local Networks" setting for the IPS should ONLY include your LOCAL Networks.
Do not include ANY or Internet or your WAN/EXT interface(s).

mine seems to be resolved after a restart but normally when there is heavy traffic I usually snort cpu consumption go up but this was during minimal traffic

can you please restart the client via : /var/mdw/scripts/ipsfb restart
and check whether the problem is fixed or not?!
