Hello 
     I have a problem about my asterisk.
  Here is the scenario I configured two astaro gateways.
  Each gateway has an internal network that has an asterisk server 
  and an xp client with soft-phone installed. 
  
  My question is how can I set a rule that will allow my two asterisk to communicate. I've done already the configuration of my asterisk and my
problem is how to forward the services for the two gateways...
  
 Please help me........................

    Easiest and safest way to go about this is to setup a VPN between the 2 sites.

    Then setup your IAX with the local ip of your asterisk servers.

    Never a good idea to put Asterisk on a public ip, far too many hackers looking for insecure Asterisk Boxes and using brute force to register since registration only uses Numeric values.

    Good advice, absolut_legend.

    Another way that's almost as secure is to use DNAT rules on each end that only accept traffic from the other location:

    {public IP of other location} -> {ports needed by Asterisk} -> External (Address) : DNAT to {local Asterisk}
    leave 'Destination Service' empty
