[7.951][NOTABUG][CLOSED] adding 2nd isp with pppoe

Hello ,

today i got 2nd isp  connection  from another isp and i was trying to configure it as a multipath ,

2nd isp connection doesnt have static ip that why select pppoe from asg>>interface>>

and other wan interface for mutipath
then i found some problem ,i was not able to browse that why i want to go back (delete the 2ne  isp connection ) and disconnet/disanged other connection but i could not delete the inferface it was saying

The PPPoE DSL interface object 'dataone' is required by the monitoring condition object 'Uplink Condition'.

that why i disable the uplink baclancing and uplink monitor still i was not able to delete the the 2nd isp interface

now with single isp i am not able to browse
restarted asg 2-3 times

edit :when i disable Uplink balancing ,it get disable but when i go to interface still it show disable on the same line but when i come back to Uplink balancing it is enable

Hi utm_kid,
did you review your gateways to ensure that the correct gateway is the one that remained?

Hi Ian ,

yes the default gw is isp 1 only ,can i use 2 gw ? there is only 1 gw
after disable and enable all service and restart 4-5 times it start
but that times was mess
still i am not able to delete the 2nd isp assign interface now i added screen shot it seems it always remain on even after disable

Hi utm_kid,
no, maximum number of gateways is 1.

Sounds like you are having fun, been dying to try out the 2 ISP thing, but couldn't justify the cost as a home user.

Hi Ian ,

yes if u rember in very inital days of beta 8 (closed beta) i was on 128 kbps now i upgraded to 512 and now 2nd isp (512 kbps unlimited)and 1 high end hired system all for beta and ACE, 30 % of ...

but touch wood now i have some confidence

Hi utm_kid,
I do this for the fun of it, keeps the brain active and I keep learning. I like experimenting so being a beta tester suits me.

The extra link would be so I could expand the functions I can test. Next step is to build a matched pair to try out the fail over functions.

Exactly ,

my client is order asg 220 for ha before it come to his door i should have some things to do that's why i am going for 2nd isp and some other things isp failover ,next month i am planning to buy a netgear swtich and will explore lag and line aggregation and vlan things

Looks like you messed up your configuration. But i cannot reproduce it from what you are saying in this report. Additionally, Uplink monitoring is a completely unreleated feature.

From the logs i can see that you try to delete an interface that is still in use by uplink balancing, so from my point of view there is no bug. The ASG simply doesn't allow you to create a bad configuration by deleting interfaces that are still in use.
