http proxy unstable

Running the latest beta.  About every 24 hours i loose all http connectivity.  If i turn off the proxy i get access back.  This affects all modes, transparent and regular.  Sometimes i have to reboot the machine tog et access back after i re-enable the proxy.

  • hey

could it be that your internet uplink gets closed every 24 hours by your provider and the proxy couldn't handle this?

maybe you search your pppoe.log (if you use pppoe for connection to internet) and look for the times your proxy make problems .

    /alex
  • my connection is cable and it doesn't recyle.  I have had the same ip for 2 months now..[:)]  This issue only appeared in the beta.

  • ok [:)]

could you post your http.log ?

    /alex
  • It's worse now with the latest update.  50% of my sites have the connection reset with the proxy on or off.  The packet filter shows it's dropping the traffic immediately not allowing it to go through either way.  I'm heading back to 7.10x..at least i know it's shortcomings.

  • i found it strange since i don't have this problem. my box is running fine for the http proxy.

what kind of traffic do you push through your http proxy?
  • just regular sites like anandtech, microsoft, google,,etc etc.  Not more than a couple of gigs a day.
