PNG image attachments

PNG attachments are quite restricted in size here (620x280px, 19KB), as are .jpeg
.jpg doesn't have those restrictions; could .png and .jpeg be opened up too?

Also, vBulletin is converting almost all PNG uploads to .jpg, causing further blurring...

all 4 attachments were uploaded as .png, and except for the one mentioned above, all were converted to jpeg at a significant readability loss.
Furthermore, I can only see 3 (out of 4) of the images on the post in Firefox 24.
