  • Hello team,

I just installed the new version of SURF (2.1.0331.0) on my computer, when I try to run it nothing appears. I currently have the windows 10 operating system installed - 21H2 build 19044.1645, .Net Framework version 4.8.4084.0, I also have administrator permissions.

I appreciate if you can guide me what I should keep in mind to be able to run the SURF program on my laptop.

Can you check the folder: C:\ProgramData\Sophos\SURF\

There should be the following folders in it:

    • Databases
    • Extracted
    • Monitored
    • Logs
    • Rules

If any of them aren't there - create them. Does that solve the issue?

    If not -DM me

  • Hello RichardP

I verified in the path that you specified and the following folders are created

    • Databases
    • Extracted
    • Monitored
    • Logs
    • Rules
    • SOP

What I did was enter each of the folders that were already created, I found a Log file in the Logs folder, I also found several files in the Rules folder and also in the SOP folder, the rest of the folders are empty.

I tried to run the SURF program again and suddenly it worked. LOL
