Issues during installation

Hi folks,

I have installed the software version  of 17.5.

First issue - the disk formatting stuck until I power cycled the XG and started the installation again.

Second issue - the restore from backup did not recognise the backup file and would not load it.

Third issue - currently can't log into the GUI.  I will wait until all the updates have downloaded and try again.

Otherwise going okay so far.

Ian

All updates have completed and I now have access to the GUI.

  • I attempted an update from 17.1.2 to 17.5 on an XG135. It completed and rebooted, but the GUI never came back and the LAN did not activate. I had to connect via console to roll it back. I will try again. Did not observe anything interesting in the logs, but I may not know what I am looking for.

    Regards,

    Gary

  • Not going super smooth on an XG135.

    1) Tried to directly apply update again and it failed again. Same story, rebooted to firmware, but no internal LAN started.
    2) I then attempted to boot to 17.5 with factory default configuration. That worked, but it will not restore my backup. It says it will, but none of the pre-17.5 settings are there.
    3) I then tried a full import into factory default. It errored on import with a log entry that says "Failed to import configuration File <filename>.tar by 'admin' from '10.0.2.3' using 'GUI'.
