Can you share the access ID with me via PM?

You can set the password / reset it here:
5. Reset secure storage master key
Under the point "System configuration". docs.sophos.com/.../index.html

Thank you. No wonder I can't find it, hidden in CLI when it really should be part of the back up gui page.

that's where it was in the older versions right? Would be helpful to put a text-hint to the CLI there.
The reset Secure Storage Master Key function was always in the CLI. The only time the GUI was involved with setting it is at first boot, restoring backups with a different SSMK, etc.

If the Secure Storage Master Key is not set, you should get a popup on login. You should also have it in Dashboard Messages. This is the normal way to set it.
If it is already set, the only way to change it is in the CLI. We intentionally do not advertise it because no one should ever need to use it. Trouble can be caused if the SSMK is initially set and written down, and then another administrator changes it. Putting the SSMK in the backup GUI would make people change it frequently - which will make previous backups harder to restore. The SSMK is a password for the Entire Box (both firmwares). The backup encryption password is the password for that specific backup.
Thanks you Michael,
I don't remember creating a SSMK for this device so I am expecting a message each time I login.
Now I have an understanding I will create a key where I have the details for.
