Strange behaviour with outgoing mails

Dear community,

I was wondering if this is just me, as outgoing mails take time to be processed by the XG firewall.
In my case, an email hangs in the queue for about one to two minutes until it is sent from the XG to the WAN. The email does not even have an attachment and is about 8 KB in size.
Furthermore, according to the log it was sent three times although I only replied and sent it once using the Gmail client.

Is this a bug or did I some misconfiguration here?

Using XG SFOS 18.0.0 EAP2.

  • That would be the easiest but also most unsafe solution, sure. But still, I wanted to point out the delay. If even small e-mails are scanned for up to 3 minutes, what happens to e-mails that are larger...

  • Hi,

varies, my daily emails take time, so days the user emails are quick others slow.

The question is why is the delay important if the messages are being delivered?

At the moment according the the log I have not delivered any messages, which is not true.

Also, I changed the settings of SMTP malware scanning to use just one scanning engine.
The delay now appears to have fallen to an acceptable level.
