In r18 EAP2 it is still not possible to set the MTU value on a vlan interface. This is very urgent for us, because most Customers have a xDSL ISP Connection with MTU of 1460. This is the only reason why we don't change from UTM to XG

Maybe i am wrong, but you can actually do this for a long time in XG.
We are talking about VDSL?
You could use a physical interface, setup as WAN + PPPOE, select VDSL (add the VLAN TAG), and change the MTU Size to 1460.

Hello Lucar,
This has never been possible as the VLAN is directly tied to the interface it is sat on and has no further config than just IP, VLAN ID, Zone and IP. If it is possible it's not exposed to the GUI?
Could you expand why you think so?
Emile
So the XDSL setup is not using any kind of PPPoE? Only getting the IP from the provider/ISP by using the correct VLAN Tag?
Most customers, i know, using VLANs on WAN are using VDSL.
Especially if you want to change the MTU, seems like, they are using PPPoE or am i completely wrong? Correct me, if i am wrong, but you can actually use this kind of VDSL with XG since V17
