I think I am coming to realise the same thing as you, now that the product is being used. We will certainly look into whether we can improve this interaction in the near term. From a design point of view, we did not want to create a whole new set of objects, and we are always careful to avoid situations where there are confusing multiple paths to the same place. But we certainly have precedents elsewhere in the UI where it's possible to directly edit an object like this from the place where it's being used.

I can understand your point of view and concerns, but imagine you need to fix or edit the list on the fly.
