ASG120 error not finding installation.tar

Hi Community,

I had a Astaro ASG120 rev4 with 2GB RAM and a 32GB SSD up and running.
It was installed on v8.102 and upgraded till the latest v8.300 w/o problems.

Now the SSD crashed. I tried to reinstall with the same cd but now got the
error that a "installation.tar" couldn´t be found on the cd. I still the following:

- installing with "classic" option (same error)
- installing with downgrade to original 1GB RAM (same error)
- installing with original drive with ASG ISS installation
(then installation tells me to take a iss iso image)
- installing with ASG iss iso Image (then the script didn´t run through)
- installing with a 500GB and a 1TB drive (same error).
- installing with the iss 8.103 instead of the v8.300 (same script problem)

I really don´t know what is going on ... the ASG120 was working fine all them
time until the SSD crashed. Now I have one problem chasing another!!!

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I´m running out of
workarounds and cross-tests.

  • Endler, have you tried having your reseller get Astaro to do an exchange?  I'm sure you would need to return it to its original configuration to do that.

    Cheers - Bob
