Separate HDD für log-files?

Hallo,
ist es möglich eine zweite HD im ASG einzubinden und diese dann im richtigen Verzeichnis zu mounten, um die log-files separat abzuspeichern? Wenn ja, wie mache ich das am besten, damit es keine Probleme gibt?

    Ich habe nun die HDD mit fdisk partitioniert und mit mkfs ext3 formatiert und in fstab unter /dev/sdb1 /var/log eingebunden, da ich mit diesem e2label nicht schlau geworden bin.
    Nun liegt halt die alte partition /dev/sda6 brach, und ich weiss nicht wie und ob ich diese löschen kann und eine andere partition mit dem frei gewordenen Speicherplatz resizen kann. [:S]
