Important Note on EOL Sophos RED Support:

The legacy EOL RED 15, RED 15w, and RED 50 are not supported in v20 MR1. Customers using these devices should upgrade to SD-RED or a smaller XGS appliance before upgrading to MR1 to maintain connectivity. See the following article for details: Sophos RED: End-of-life of RED 15/15(w) and RED 50

  • Setting up new Appliance (XGS107) using Controlled Zero Touch (USB) lead to Webadmin inaccessible.

Getting this through Central SSO AND locally when trying to access Webadmin:

"Manage Firewall"-Button leads to https://central.sophos.com/manage and therefore does not help.
So this is a loop - never reaching webadmin. All browser-caches already cleared and tried from different PCs.

  • It is a known issue in Zero Touch Deployment with older Hardware / Firewall versions. In True Zero Touch (V20.0 MR1+), this is fixed.
If the firewall already did a firmware update to V20.0 MR1, you could also login to the firewall via console and start a factory reset. This will resolve this situation.
