Hotspot administration via User GROUPs

We are getting bigger and as normal there are more and more people then have the right to generate vouchers for the guest Wifi. So far so normal but the problem ist that we wanted to solve this with authorizing a group to do this and put the user in the groups. But there is no way this works.

First try:

- put user in a local group -> will be overwritten (or better user is deleted! from the group) on the next login

- next problem with two local groups as we have multiple guest networks: doesn't seem to be allowed to be a user in more than one group, or even worse. It get's deleted from the other group without notice...

- so we set up an AD group (as there are multiple groups allowed somehow), synced this one to the firewall and put this group to the hotspot. Users have the membership in the group (firewall shows it) but the hotspot is not shown in the user portal.

How can this be managed in a reasonable way?

Furthermore OT question to this: why the heck are the membership users are not sorted by alphabet??? grml
