Sophos Firewall: Create multiple AD Server entities in SFOS for multi domains (Trusted Domain User)

This seems not to work anymore

Sophos Firewall: Create multiple AD Server entities in SFOS for multi domains

When I try to do the last step I get the message

"Please enter a valid server address in field "Server IP/domain"."

I need to somehow enable a trusted domain in our AD Sync.

What really bugs me is the trusted domain user shows up in Sophos Central but not in the firewall User list which we need to give the user VPN access.

For now we are adding the trusted domain users manually in the firewall, but this is not an acceptable solution.

  • Thanks for bringing this up. This still works, but you have to enter a FQDN instead.
Will update the Recommended Read as well.

So do something like "AD1.local" and create a DNS entry like "AD1.local" in SFOS.
