Problem with download speed

Hey,
I have Sophos Firewall for Home installed on my proxmox. I have a 500Mb/s download and 100Mb/s upload connection. Unfortunately when downloading anything from the internet the maximum speed I can download at is 20MB/s it gets to that 20 and is unable to go higher. I did a speed test directly from the CLI and downloads were up to 56-60MB/s. Whereas on the workstation it is as I mentioned max 20MB/s. The version of my firmware is 20GA. 

Setup:

CPU: Intel Celeron J4125
RAM: 8GB
Only Sophos is on proxmox
Web filtering is off
IPS is off

    A bit hard to give an answer based on the information you gave.

    What resources have your given the firewall (number of cores and memory)?

    What type of processor is in your proxmox system?

    Is the firewall the only system running on proxmox?

    Are you using passtrough for processors and/or NIC's?

    Do you use web filtering?

    Do you use IPS?

    Hi,

    you need to check the NICs are auto negotiating or set to 1gb/s.

    Check that the cpu and memory are locked to the XG instance which will affect your proxmox performance.

    Next check that you have speedstep disabled so the processor is running at maximum performance with ability to burst to the rated maximum.

    You said you were running v20 ga, but your display shows v19.5

    You need to provide some consistency with your reported speeds eg mb/s is bits, MB/s is bytes.
