Disable AP Isolation setting

Hi Team,

I have Sophos XG87  firewall & XGS APX point. I have TV which is connected to LAN & when I tried to control my TV via iPhone remote (iPhone) is connected to wireless of same network, I am unable to control / connect to TV.

When searched in OnePlus TV site, they recommended to disable "AP Isolation" in the router firewall.

Note :- I have only 1 network in my home LAN & WIFI.

Pls help in resolving this issue. Thanks.

  • I'd first check that the TV and the iPhone are on the same SSID. Then check if you allow LAN-LAN traffic in a firewall rule.

If both are taken care of, then you'l want to go to either your XG87's Wireless or to Sophos Central's Wireless, depending on which you use to control the AP. (You can use only one or the other.) I use Sophos Central, and there, it's under Wireless - SSID, where I pick the appropriate SSID and under Advanced Settings - Security it has the option "Client Isolation" which I'm pretty sure does not default to Enabled unless you're setting up a Guest network.

(This is your main LAN, not a Guest network, correct?)
